NH Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Fund- Carbon Solutions New England
Thirty grants totaling $17.5 million have been awarded since July 2009 to NH businesses, non-profits, municipalities, and state institutions through the NH Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reduction Fund (GHGERF). GHGERF is funded by proceeds from the auction of carbon dioxide allowances allocated to the State via the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). The grants are being used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the State.
CSNE was awarded a grant through GHGERF to: (1) track the energy savings, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, costs, and economic benefits of all of the projects funded through GHGERF; (2) independently verify the results; (3) provide baseline information (with semi-annual reporting) to determine the effectiveness of different types of projects funded by GHGERF and (4) “scale up” project-specific results to estimate the state wide energy efficiency potential and broader impacts on state greenhouse gas emissions and the state economy (including costs/benefits/job creation) of different types of projects.
CSNE will be posting analysis and reports on this website. CSNE will also be providing on-line tools during the first quarter of 2010 for grant recipients to streamline reporting on the website.
